Sungudi’ comes from the Sanskrit word ‘sunnam’ which means round, referring to the dots that are found on Sungudi sarees. The Madurai Kattam Sungudi saree is a product of weaving techniques brought to south India by Sourashtrian weavers during the 17th century.

This Sungudi saree comes with contract sungudi blouse.
